Caroline Novak is co-founder and president of the A+ Education Partnership. She worked with the State Department of Education to develop the Alabama Reading Initiative and raised private sector funding for the first two years of implementation. The partnership continues as the ARI expands into grades 4-8. Through the Governor’s Congress on School Leadership and Commission on Quality Teaching, Caroline and other A+ members are providing leadership for the efforts of the Governor and State Board of Education to provide highly effective principals and teachers for every school. Caroline serves on the governing boards of the Education Commission of the States and the Southern Regional Education board (compacts of governors, legislative, education and business leaders working to improve K-12 and higher education) and Sterling Bank in Montgomery.
