Last week, Rotarian Chuck Turner took part in the Club’s new program for getting to know Tuscaloosa Rotarians better by interviewing them. The sixth Rotarian to be interviewed was Sandra Ray. Sandra is a native of Tuscaloosa and grew up in an Education Family. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a Degree in Education. Sandra is the President and Broker of Hall-Ray Realty Inc. She has served on numerous boards including Southland National Insurance, Shelton State, Tuscaloosa County Preservation Society, and Theatre Tuscaloosa, to name a few. Active in the arts, she was recognized with the Jake Leigeber Patron Award. Sandra was the first of two women to be inducted into the Rotary Club of Tuscaloosa and is a Past President of the Club. Sandra is a graduate of Leadership Tuscaloosa and Leadership Alabama. She was named small Business Person of the Year in 1991 by the Chamber of Commerce.
