Rotarian of the Week: Chuck Tuner

Posted By rotary

Last week Rotarian Jim Drake took part in the Club’s new program of interviewing Club members to help Tuscaloosa Rotarians get to know everyone a little better. The fifth Rotarian to be interviewed was Chuck Turner. Chuck was the commissioner of fun during Jim’s Presidential year. He has worked as an electrical engineer with NASA. Chuck also worked at and eventually bought Jackson Electric where he currently works. Chuck is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and serves on numerous boards including our Club’s Board as the Director of Community Service and the Board of the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce to name a few. Chuck and his wife Judy have two children and three grandchildren. His interests include Humor, Faith, and Family. A few items on Chuck’s bucket list are to always make people laugh and to be married to his wife for 50 years. As only the commissioner of fun could do, Chuck walked up to the podium and cut Jim’s tie in half!
