Tom Love Assistant Vice President of Construction, UA

Mr. Tom Love earned a B.S. in Building Science in 1979 and a M.S. in Construction Management in 1980. After graduating, he taught construction-related courses as an Associate Professor for 10 years. During his teaching appointment, Mr. Love authored two textbooks, “Scheduling Residential Projects for Builders and Remodelers,” and “Bar Chart Scheduling for Residential Construction.” From 1997-2003, he was Director of

Project Acquisition for Doster Construction Company in Birmingham, after which he spent 9 years as Vice President of Preconstruction for the Brice Building Company in Birmingham. In 2013, he accepted a position as the Executive Director of the Construction Administration department at The University of Alabama. Currently, Mr. Love serves The University of Alabama as the Assistant Vice President of Construction, overseeing all campus construction-related activities. During his tenure at The University of Alabama, Mr. Love has administered over $800 million of construction contracts.
