Last week Rotarians welcomed George Wallace, Jr. to the club. Wallace recently wrote a book about his father entitled “Governor George Wallace, The Man You Never Knew by The Man Who Knew Him Best.” Wallace spoke to the club on the man his father really was as seen through his eyes, as well as what it was like growing up during the turbulent times of the Civil Rights Era. Mr. Wallace gave vivid accounts and memories of his Dad throughout his life, and the pain that his father lived with after the near fatal gunshot wound he suffered while campaigning for President.
